How Much for How Long?
(Note 🙂 The ideal course of action, for those able, is to ask your doctor to give you an annual “hs-CRP” test. It is not too expensive (last we checked, about $50 – and many insurances cover it). The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have defined risk groups as follows:
Low risk: less than 1.0 mg/L
Average risk: 1.0 to 3.0 mg/L
High risk: above 3.0 mg/L
Dosage: The higher risks above, and higher inflammation, implies more need and higher dosage.
First time adult users, who know they have a chronic inflammation problem, usually take the recommended dosage (2 – 3 capsules a day) for the first 2 months. Some high-needs people have moved up to 4-5 caps a day.
Some of the ingredients are effective pretty quickly (within a week or two). Some nutrients are are powerful but may take a month or two to make their effects in the body complete (like ginger).
Full effects are reached in about 2 months. Then, many people find they can reduce dosage and maintain the same results. Individual results vary so find what works best for you.
